Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM/Graston/ASTYM) is a form of soft tissue mobilization that is used to detect and release scar tissue, adhesions, and fascial restrictions. The technique uses specially designed stainless steel or plastic instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.

These tools and techniques have been used to treat both acute and chronic soft tissue conditions of the body such as tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, shoulder pain, knee pain, wrist and hand pain, back and neck pain, and post-surgical scarring.

The Graston Technique and IASTM are currently offered at our Roseville Clinic, 651-635-0578.

The IASTM technique is offered at our Coon Rapids Clinic, 763-450-0298.

The ASTYM treatment method is currently offered at our Minneapolis Clinic, 612-872-2700.
