If you have experienced any of these symptoms you may be suffering from a vestibular disorder, and/ or dysfunction involving the joints and muscles of your head and neck that can be effectively treated by the therapists at PTOSI.
What is a Vestibular Disorder?
A vestibular disorder occurs when you have dysfunction in a part of the inner ear that helps control your balance. When your balance is disrupted it can result in the symptoms listed above.
Research has found that 85% of patients with the symptoms of dizziness report improvement with physical therapy.*
PTOSI’s therapists are trained to treat the neck and vestibular disorders and will develop a personalized treatment plan for you that may include manual therapy and an exercise program to help you manage these types of symptoms.
PTOSI therapists have special training to reduce pain and increase function. PTOSI Therapists treat the painful muscles and the joint with soft tissue mobilization, manual therapy, and exercises to strengthen muscles in the jaw and neck. Treatment of associated neck and back problems is frequently needed as well.
